Pinewood derby

Big E came in 4th and won a certificate for "best effort". Next year we are going to polish the axels and add more weight to the car.

Wildflower fest

Not many wild flowers yet but had fun with Grandma and Yo PA.

Sliding

After a bike ride around the neighborhood the kids couldn't resist sliding with their Mom. So nice to live in a gated community with 2 playgrounds. Got most of our landscaping done today. Looking forward to our 1st BBQ!

Baseball

Zachary's first practice went well. His team name is the Rattlers and they are all excited to be playing.

Snakes

It was a treat to have a boa and a California king snake join us for class today. I think a snake would make an excellent family pet. They only poop once a month. Think Heidi and the boys would agree?

Baseball tryouts

Ethan is the youngest in his devision. His birthday is the cut off for the 9-10 year olds. Good thing he got some experience last year.

Sundae

Ethan won this basket from school. He had a grin from ear to ear when he shared with us after dinner.

Slacking on the posts

Finally on the mend after a LONG cold.  Honestly it started right after X-Mas and seemed to only get worse with time.  Sure I could have taken it easy and tried to rest but that just isn't my nature.  The house is pretty much packed up and ready to move.  Just sold my generator and have taken 3 loads filled to the gills to the Salvation Army.  Quote me as saying right here and now that I will never ever buy a bunch of crap to collect dust in the garage.  The only thing I'm hanging onto is the trailer.  Just too many good times camping in that thing.
Boys start baseball this week. Tomorrow or Wednesday depending on the weather.  They call it try outs but really they just determine the kids that have experience and those that don't.  Ethan really enjoyed baseball last year and Zachary is now old enough to begin.  Not easy living in transition when your a 5 year and 8 year old boy. The last several months we have been either keeping the house clean to show or packing. We are all excited for the move and now we have an official date.  Update:  February 7th we move into our new house.  Will send the address to everyone soon.
Have to give Heidi credit for letting go of some family heirlooms and downsizing too.  We are selling or giving away a lot.  Looking forward to family and friends visiting us in our new home.  Also looking forward to having our weekends back.

Pebble beach run

Running with this scenery is effortless. Just gorgeous this time of year. Warmer and less fog than the summer.

Never seen the big man arrive this way. Boys told him they have been good, we will see.

106

Pack 205 sang Christmas carols at an assisted living facility this afternoon and we met the oldest person in our area for sure. Mabel is 106 years old and doing great!  It was a blast and the seniors enjoyed it as much as the scouts.
