Summer coming to an end

Kids in camp this week, so I have been hiking and biking and enjoying the beauty of Big Bear.

Long Beach

Quick mid week trip to the beach. Luna was super happy to fetch the ball on the beach, even running into the ocean to get the ball. We didn't want to drive back so enjoyed a night on the Queen Mary.  The last picture was returning to Big Bear to find a monster in the half empty lake. 

Big Bear Renaissance Fair

Enjoyed a day eating turkey legs, finding gold, watching funny interactive shows and jousting. It was fun but people were a little pushy for tips.

Final day of Alaska

Awesome trip with pretty good weather, amazing food and wildlife and pretty good fishing. Really like the full service resort and people at Waterfall.

Boating

Our boat is gone but we rented a fishing boat and enjoyed a day on the lake.  Much easier to rent, cheaper too!

More Big Bear

Walked over to this spot from our cabin to watch the fireworks.  It was about 1/2 mile trek through the forest but a great view and we didn't have to deal with the traffic coming home.



A nice drive through the historic Holcomb Valley.  This was the area first settled by gold miners in the 1850's in Big Bear. 


Typical night watching movies by the campfire with our neighbors.
