Museum and hiking

Sucks Heidi can only stay the weekend but happy to have someplace cool me and the boys can enjoy this summer. Last week before we all return to the weekly grind.

Boating and Daphne

Don't worry we didn't get a dog but this friendly lady lives across the street and visits often. Great fun on the boat, nobody got hurt and it didn't break. Heidi is here too just not in the pictures.

LA

A nice change of pace. Waking through Westwood we saw them setting up for the premier of the Emoji movie. A fun farmers market in Westwood with valet parking for bikes.

Dockweiler beach

Weekend trip to LA and the beach. It was fun playing in the waves and soaking up the so cal sun.

Fishing and jumping

While Ethan is off at Knotts Berry Farm with is friends from camp me and Zachary are enjoying the day.

Boating

Awesome day tubing and knee boarding behind the boat. That's my neighbor John driving while I ripped my arms off.

Vacation continues

Kids are enjoying camp this week while I mountain bike, hike, and kayak. We visited the museum in Big Bear yesterday and had fun panning for gold, making a pirate peanut butter spreader with the blacksmith and learning about the early settlers to a Big Bear.

Camp

Ethan is at the YMCA camp for the week with his buddy and neighbor Jackson while Zachary is going to Baptist camp with nobody he knows but he is having fun too. Interesting to have 2 hrs of sermons a day but Zachary isn't complaining.

Horses and throwing rocks

Kids enjoying the neighbors horses. We brought them carrots from the farmers market. Don't worry we got the carrots free. Heidi chucking rocks at the neighbors down below (1000 feet below).

Pacific Crest a Trail

We hiked to this place that was supposed to have crystals. More like lots of light colored granite but great views and cool weather.

4th of July fun

We had a great BBQ with friends and neighbors followed by a spectacular fireworks show. Going to have to make this an annual tradition.
