Big bear
A great week up here 8000 feet and 40 degrees cooler. Boys have been in day camps while I get a chance to run, mountain bike and kayak. I think this will become an annual trip. Best part is it's only 2 hrs away.

Rain
It rained pretty hard over the weekend. Thunder and lightening too. Glad we weren't camping. Today the kids start camp while I move us out of the cabin and into the woods.
Smelly fish
Met up with some friends today to fish but all the kids caught was a smelly old dead fish. Don't worry the kids only touched with fish.

Surf Camp ends
Friday was the last day of surf camp for Ethan. Me and Zachary were able to watch him surf and play some games with the other campers before a BBQ. This was the first overnight camp for Ethan and he loved it. Heidi and I were a bit nervous of him being away all week but excited for the opportunity. He can't wait to come back next year! The did all the usual camp things (skits, songs, arts and crafts, games, ect.) with the addition of surfing and boogie boarding. I know my pictures aren't great so if you want to order some pics of Ethan at camp go to www.camp.ymca.org/photos. the password is "campfire". Click on "camp surf" then "surf photos". Next click on "current summer" "session four" and Ethan was a "Mariner" and he was in cabin 2. We ordered a few pictures, it's nice they don't charge much and the quality seems pretty good.
The Zoo and Coronado
Great day at the San Diego Zoo and then relaxing on the beach on Coronado. San Diego is getting really crowded with Comic Con in town. Tomorrow we pick up Big E from Surf camp!
Big Ships
Walking from Steve's house me and Zachary came across these huge ships in the bay. Not sure you get the perspective from afar but these ships were HUGE.
