Ok Tiger the pony lets ride
Ehtan rode Tiger the pony like a pro. This place was a short drive from where we stayed, this is going to be an annual trip. Cheap, close, cool and lots of fun.
Look Zac a fat old goat
Zac wasn't sure what to make of the petty zoo. Ethan went for a pony ride and they both enjoyed petting goats, pigs, and chickens. Ethan almost got knocked off a log from a bossy goat.
Zac's 1st boat ride
Another beautiful day in Big Bear. Zac was a little scared for the 1st 10 minutes on the boat but then he got his sea legs.

Big bear hike
Took the boys for a nice hike today, only 5 minute walk from our house. Also went out on a fishing boat, will post those pics later. Only 2 more days left until we have to return to the heat. We have been having a really restful time, ready to move. There is so much to do, biking, running, swimming, and hiking. Wish we were rich, I would buy a cabin up here for sure.

Alpine Slide
Me and Big E went down the slide Sunday. We got to there as soon as they opened. Good thing because within a half hr. there was a long line. Ethan likes speed, both on the tag along behind the bike on the way over and the alpine slide. Today was a little slower, went for a nice hike then the Moonridge Zoo. Won't bore you with the pics from the zoo that aren't all that exciting. Tomorrow Heidi wants to go horse back riding, I plan to watch.

Big bear
Luvin the cool weather. Finished the week of training for our new reading program and have one more week off before school starts. It is cold and cool up here and we love it. It just finished raining and the whole family is fast asleep, Heidi too. We found a 2 bedroom house 5 minutes from the lake for a amazing price. It's a nice place, clean and cozy. On a busy road but it is actually kinda fun watching the cars and trucks go by. Have the bikes and toys for the kids, looking forward to a relaxing week. Don't worry there is a fence around the house and we won't let the boys wander into traffic.

Mt. Bachelor
A little break from the kids Mom and Dad escaped to the top of the Mtn. Amazing views, great food and drinks, and fun playing horse shoes in the snow.
Lava tubes
Me, Heidi, Ashlyn and Ethan went for a hike through lava tubes. Rented a lantern because it's pitch black. Went over a mile underground, very cool...
Going biking
Me, Ashlyn and Ethan going for a bike ride in Sunriver. They have 35 + miles of bike paths seperated from the road. With weather in the low 80's and amazing sights everywhere we could ride for miles.
Macen-ater and Zac attack
The cousins hanging out in the great room on vacation. They are both standing on their own and will be walking any day. Hopefully not too soon, no rush....

A Plunge in the Deschutes river
Me and Steve took Kayaks down the river and wanted to cool off about half way down. It was only a few feet deep but a soft landing. Amazing trip down the river, saw an eagle, ducklings and some of the most amazing county I have ever seen.

Another Craigslist Deal
Forgot the jogging stroller at home and found this deal on the bay area's craigslist for only $25. Good thing we live in the desert because the bay area has an endless amount of deals. My Mom gave me some good advice today. She urged me to get rid of something before buying something else. What a concept, we got a whole house full of stuff to get rid of. Heidi says she hopes I don't get rid of the wife and kids in the process of getting rid of stuff. Mom says "oh come on you don't get rid of people".
Fort Point SF
Too bad it was closed, but we still got a nice picture. Went
for a cruise around the bay instead. Another great day, nice and cool. Highs in the 60's is just fine with us. Much better than 100's.

Mike, Wyatt, Zac, Me and Big E
Had a great time with Gramps and Maggie and their newest addition Wyatt. Went to Montclair park for a nice relaxing but cold afternoon
Zac and Grandma after the parade
Went to a fancy house in Piedmont for the after parade party. Zac and Ethan had a great time as well as the rest of the family.
Piedmont Parade
Ethan was very excited with march with Yo Pa and other Grandpa's celebrating 100 yrs. of Boy Scouts during the Piedmont Parade. Ethan was in charge of throwing out candy. He managed to throw out the entire bag within the first 100 yards. The rest of the parade he ate what was hidden in his pocket. Had a fun time, things haven't changed much in Piedmont. The parade has grown, must have been 10,000 lining the route.
