Coffin on wheels

My latest Craigslist find.  It looks like a coffin but is really a storage unit mounted on a motorcycle trailer.  Picked it up for only $250 and that includes a lifetime license plate, working lights, all the tie downs, and loads of storage.  Since the mini-van isn't set up to carry a trailer yet we won't be taking it on our trip north this time, but hopefully soon.  My friends have already encouraged me to turn it into a cooler on wheels.  The possibilities are endless, and don't worry I won't make the same mistake as the sailboat, no zip ties to keep it mounted down.

Had a great time at Lake Arrowhead today.  We went for a nice boat ride and were lucky enough to be there for a wooden boat show and concert with Beach Boys look alikes.  We were all very happy to get out of the heat, I think it hit 110 here today.  When driving home at 8:30 the temp was 95.  Who knows maybe the beach tomorrow, or head up to the tram for a quick break from the heat.  As a coworker once told me if it didn't get so miserably hot nobody would leave and this desert would be like the rest of southern CA.  No traffic and everyone moving a few steps slower this time of yr isn't so bad, it also helps having a pool to cool off in.
